Independent curator, graduated from Nanjing University, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies. Yang Zi was the curator and public program director of the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA). In 2011, he was the editor of LEAP magazine and wrote articles for Chinese website of Art Forum and Art Newspaper Chinese magazine. In 2020, Yang Zi was selected as a research fellow for the inaugural Higg China Art Research Grant and was a juror for Gallery Week Beijing; in 2019, he was a preliminary juror for the annual Huayu Youth Award; and was a finalist for the 2017 Hyundai Blue Prize Annual Art Award.
In 2021, Yang Zi co-curated OCAT Biennale Boomerang at OCAT Shenzhen.
